Updates From Guatemala

The Hospital Construction Continues!

In February 2020, the second floor of the new Hospital was poured and then by the end of the year, the electrical was completed as well! The most recent update on the new Hospital is that the flooring has arrived and will be installed in a couple of weeks! How exciting!

Strong & Selfless Teachers in Huehuetenango

As Guatemala was immensely impacted by Covid-19 within the last year, teachers in Huehuetenango agreed to continue teaching their classes even if it meant receiving only 15% of their regular salary. Above are photos of teachers from 3 different schools that we support in Guatemala. These teachers share their gratitude for the financial support that you have provided to help pay for their salaries so that education can continue! Thank you for your ongoing support for Guatemala!

Urgent Need Of A New Ultrasound Machine

The Old Ultrasound Machine

About 3 weeks ago, Juan Pablo told us about the urgent need for an Ultrasound Machine as the current one in the Hospital that is being used is in really bad shape as they use it almost every single day. Carolina said that it isn’t working well and soon, it won’t be working at all and that will be a big problem.

The goal is to raise $37,500 as soon as possible to replace this machine so that the hospital can continue to provide the quality health care that the community expects when they come to the hospital!

So far, we’ve been able to raise about $19,000 which means we are more than halfway to our goal but still need $18,500!

Would you consider supporting this cause and help us purchase a new Ultrasound Machine so that the Hospital can continue to provide quality health care?

Through its women’s empowerment initiatives, the Kenya Economic Development & Human Advancement Project (KEDHAP) is helping women build sustainable livelihoods and stronger futures for their families…

The ROI of Joy: Why We’re Carrying Hope Into 2026

If you could stand in the courtyard of the Vision of Grace school in Fort Jacques, you wouldn’t just hear lessons; you’d hear the rhythmic sound of potential being realized. You’d hear the laughter of children who, just a year ago, faced the silence of empty stomachs and closed doors. A new year always invites reflection, but for us at ImpactHope, it’s more than a pause. It’s a moment to look at the faces behind the metrics and recognize that the “hope” we talk about is a living, breathing reality…

Tatiana's Story

From a very young age, Tatiana had a heart for serving children. After a short trip to help at an orphanage in Haiti in 2014, she was ready to go all in to serve the less fortunate children of the world. Tatiana was the driving force behind the family moving to Peru, and she loved the children of Peru.

In the summer of 2018, Tatiana Blackburn died tragically in a car accident. To honour her memory, the Blackburns started a fund called Tat’s Kids Peru. This fund was designated for the children at Tat’s Place to support the ongoing operation of the home.
