We Currently Have 2 Projects In Mexico:
- Casa Compasiva is a Christian Birthing Centre in Oaxaca City that is also known as the “Compassion House” that is committed to provide a safe, natural birth environment to women.
- Isaac & Fer Quezada are called to the ministry of mentoring youth, church/camp music ministry and “Ethnomusicology”!
Many thousands of people in the Oaxaca region remain isolated from medical care, and even those who have access to government-staffed clinics often receive inadequate care. Women giving birth within the government medical system are often subjected to trauma through complete isolation from friends and loved ones, racial prejudice, over-crowded conditions, and highly interventionist obstetric policies…(learn more).
There are over 120 languages in the Oaxaca area. Sadly, the high majority do not have songs in their own native tongue. They sing in spanish, which many do not understand nor fully comprehend.
