About the Madagascar Project

This event supports ImpactHope’s partnership with PPC Madagascar, a sustainable agriculture initiative helping communities overcome hunger and poverty through the Pfumvudza farming method.

Impact So Far

  • Over 1,600 farmers trained in 2025
  • Training expanded to 15 regions of Madagascar
  • Rice yields reaching up to 6 tons per hectare
  • Communities experiencing improved food security and income

Families are not only learning how to grow more food — they are gaining confidence, stability, and hope for the future. Learn more about the project here.

Madagascar continues to face severe food insecurity and poverty in many rural communities. Through practical agricultural training and local leadership, farmers are learning sustainable methods that can transform entire communities.

Every participant in Tri for Madagascar helps train new farmers, establish demonstration plots, provide seeds and farming support, and strengthen food security for vulnerable families.

Tatiana's Story

From a very young age, Tatiana had a heart for serving children. After a short trip to help at an orphanage in Haiti in 2014, she was ready to go all in to serve the less fortunate children of the world. Tatiana was the driving force behind the family moving to Peru, and she loved the children of Peru.

In the summer of 2018, Tatiana Blackburn died tragically in a car accident. To honour her memory, the Blackburns started a fund called Tat’s Kids Peru. This fund was designated for the children at Tat’s Place to support the ongoing operation of the home.
