Kingdom Destiny Ministries, Kenya

Location & Work

Kingdom Destiny Ministries (KDM) is a growing Christian ministry based in Nakuru, Kenya, serving communities through 15 branches across seven counties. Led by Pastor John Mugo and his wife, Faith Wairimu, KDM is committed to sharing the love of Christ while meeting practical needs in communities.

Their vision is for individuals of all ages to discover purpose, strengthen families, and contribute to thriving communities. Through discipleship, mentorship, outreach, and community support, KDM is helping bring lasting transformation to some of Kenya’s most vulnerable populations.

What They Do

Kingdom Destiny Ministries serves people across every generation through four key areas of ministry:

Youth Development

Through mentorship programs, camps, sports, arts, and talent development initiatives, KDM helps young people build confidence, discover purpose, and avoid the dangers of drug and substance abuse.

Women’s Empowerment

Women’s conferences, retreats, mentorship, and leadership training equip women to strengthen their families, develop skills, and become leaders in their communities.

Senior Care

Many elderly people in rural Kenya face isolation and limited access to support. KDM provides weekly fellowship gatherings, meals, prayer, and basic health screenings for seniors, ensuring they are cared for and connected.

Community Outreach

The ministry distributes food, clothing, and essential supplies, supports vulnerable students with school fees and educational resources, and shares the hope of the Gospel through outreach and church planting efforts.

Building for the Future

A major focus for Kingdom Destiny Ministries is the development of a permanent headquarters in Nakuru. The ministry has acquired a school hall that will be transformed into a central training and ministry hub, supporting leadership development, community programs, and coordination across all 15 branches.

This facility will provide a long-term foundation for the ministry’s work and reduce ongoing rental and venue costs.

Impact

Each year, Kingdom Destiny Ministries directly serves hundreds of people, including:

  • 300+ youth through mentorship and development programs
  • 100–150 women through leadership and empowerment initiatives
  • 30–100 men participating in leadership and accountability programs
  • 50+ seniors receiving weekly support, fellowship, meals, and health screenings

The impact extends far beyond these numbers as families are strengthened, students remain in school, vulnerable individuals receive support, and communities experience hope and transformation.

Women's Outreach & Conferences — mentorship, leadership development, retreats and conferences that empower women to lead and support their families.

Looking Ahead

Kingdom Destiny Ministries is working to expand its programs and complete the Nakuru ministry hub. Through local leadership, volunteer involvement, discipleship, and community ownership, the ministry is building a sustainable model that will continue serving communities for years to come.

Mission

To preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ, transform communities, and raise Kingdom ambassadors through discipleship, compassion, and holistic outreach.

Vision

A transformed society where every individual, regardless of age, gender, or background, encounters God’s love, walks in purpose, and contributes to a thriving community.

Tatiana's Story

From a very young age, Tatiana had a heart for serving children. After a short trip to help at an orphanage in Haiti in 2014, she was ready to go all in to serve the less fortunate children of the world. Tatiana was the driving force behind the family moving to Peru, and she loved the children of Peru.

In the summer of 2018, Tatiana Blackburn died tragically in a car accident. To honour her memory, the Blackburns started a fund called Tat’s Kids Peru. This fund was designated for the children at Tat’s Place to support the ongoing operation of the home.
