FINANCIAL POLICY

ImpactHope values the trust and confidence of our donors. We are governed by a Board of Directors and are accountable through donor receipts, monthly reports, and newsletters. We are certified members of the Canadian Centre for Christian Charities (CCCC). To ensure our financial accountability to our donors and our continued compliance to current government standards and accounting regulations, an annual audit is done by a qualified independent accounting firm.

While we endeavour to use each gift towards and approved program as desired by our donors, ImpactHope retains the final decision on how to allocate all donations. If and when any given need has been met, the understanding is that the gift will be used where it is most needed or where another opportunity of similar nature exists. In our effort to cut administrative costs, donations will only be acknowledged upon request or when ImpactHope deems necessary. All donations will be receipted with an official receipt for income tax purposes at the end of the calendar year following Canada Revenue Agency guidelines.

ImpactHope is committed to taking all appropriate action to ensure donor confidentiality and that security is protected. We regularly use appropriate back-up systems, passwords, and the shredding of confidential information.

Tatiana's Story

From a very young age, Tatiana had a heart for serving children. After a short trip to help at an orphanage in Haiti in 2014, she was ready to go all in to serve the less fortunate children of the world. Tatiana was the driving force behind the family moving to Peru, and she loved the children of Peru.

In the summer of 2018, Tatiana Blackburn died tragically in a car accident. To honour her memory, the Blackburns started a fund called Tat’s Kids Peru. This fund was designated for the children at Tat’s Place to support the ongoing operation of the home.
