This isolation has created many difficulties for the people of the region. It is a hot spot for many societal ills such as drugs, prostitution, and child trafficking.

Statistics from 2014 reveal that 42% live in poverty, 45% of households do not have running water, and 25% of children are malnourished. Sadly, the most vulnerable, the ones who suffer the most, are children who are abused, neglected, or abandoned. They become an easy target for pedophiles, drug dealers, or sex-traffickers. Due to COVID-19, even more children are being neglected and abandoned.

We are a registered charity in Canada that focuses on a variety of causes worldwide to alleviate poverty. In January 2020, we opened a children’s home (Tat’s Place) in Puerto Maldonado, Peru. Hogar Genesis, in Iquitos, will be our second home for children at risk. Our goal is to open this home is by the end of 2021 (dependent on sufficient funding)!

Together with our partners, we are needing to raise $85,000 for operating expenses (food, clothing, staff, etc.) to be able to open this home.

Partner with us and provide abandoned & neglected children with a loving, family-oriented home! Your donation of $25, $100, $500 or more will provide children with the security and hope for a better life, helping them escape this vicious cycle. His mother became a drug addict at a fairly young age. Unfortunately, after she gave birth to Jimmy, she realized that she could not take care of a child in her state. With this said, Jimmy ended up in a local orphanage that is currently overflowing with orphaned children. Due to Covid, visits to the orphanage is not permitted but hopefully in the near future, our Missionary Reps can visit Jimmy and provide a report on how he is doing there. Prayers are needed for Jimmy as well as his mother as she continues to consume and sell drugs.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_custom_heading text=”Goals of Hogar Gensis” font_container=”tag:h4|text_align:left|color:%2399221e” google_fonts=”font_family:Cinzel%3Aregular%2C700%2C900|font_style:700%20bold%20regular%3A700%3Anormal”][vc_column_text]

  2. To provide Christian counsel and support for families in crisis with the hopes of restoring the family unit.
  3. To provide opportunities for adoption if restoration of the family is not possible.
