Since 2017 we have partnered with a wonderful company called Calstone Inc to support the building of the hospital in Nebaj.

This project is about bringing high level healthcare to a community that cannot afford it. Over 40% of the population has no access to any health care services. Many patients do not wish to seek care from public health due to cost, mistrust of provider and poor quality of services There is a great need for medical services, especially for young children, since 16% of infants suffer from low birth weight, and 50% of all children are malnourished. You can read more information here.

Calstone organized a “Bucks for Blocks” fundraiser to raise money for the build. We are at an exciting stage, with the hospital walls coming up, and the estimated cost for each cement block is $100, and donors were extremely generous and each gave towards several blocks, raising a total of almost 70 thousand dollars!

During the fundraiser we heard from the owners of Calstone and partner companies, Dr. Juan Pablo and his wife Carolina, as well as some team leaders, all of which shared the impact this project has had on their lives.

If you would like to donate to this project, use any donate button on our website, with NEBAJ HOSPITAL as your designation.

The ROI of Joy: Why We’re Carrying Hope Into 2026

If you could stand in the courtyard of the Vision of Grace school in Fort Jacques, you wouldn’t just hear lessons; you’d hear the rhythmic sound of potential being realized. You’d hear the laughter of children who, just a year ago, faced the silence of empty stomachs and closed doors. A new year always invites reflection, but for us at ImpactHope, it’s more than a pause. It’s a moment to look at the faces behind the metrics and recognize that the “hope” we talk about is a living, breathing reality…

Tatiana's Story

From a very young age, Tatiana had a heart for serving children. After a short trip to help at an orphanage in Haiti in 2014, she was ready to go all in to serve the less fortunate children of the world. Tatiana was the driving force behind the family moving to Peru, and she loved the children of Peru.

In the summer of 2018, Tatiana Blackburn died tragically in a car accident. To honour her memory, the Blackburns started a fund called Tat’s Kids Peru. This fund was designated for the children at Tat’s Place to support the ongoing operation of the home.
