Good news from Kenya: funding for KEDHAP’s beekeeping social enterprise has arrived, and the work is now underway.

KEDHAP is our partner in Kisumu and Nandi counties. On a recent visit, ImpactHope’s Executive Director, Brad Wilson, shared the news of the available funding in person with Gordon Otieno Obado, KEDHAP’s Executive Director, and members of the KEDHAP board.

We’re grateful to see this work begin, and we look forward to sharing how it grows.

More than a school day

During the visit, Brad also met girls who receive sanitary pads from KEDHAP. Without pads, many girls miss close to a week of school every month.

Brad heard harder stories too. Some girls have become pregnant after accepting help from men who promised to buy them pads. For these girls, a steady supply of pads protects far more than a school day.

Grateful KEDHAP beneficiaries receiving their sanitary pads with appreciation.

Keeping students in class

Pads are only part of the picture. Many students are sent home when their families can’t cover school fees, and more students are waiting for sponsors.

How you can make an impact

Thank you for walking alongside KEDHAP. Your generosity is helping create opportunities, protect girls’ futures, and strengthen communities. Together, we’re planting seeds of hope that will continue to grow for generations to come.

Tatiana's Story

From a very young age, Tatiana had a heart for serving children. After a short trip to help at an orphanage in Haiti in 2014, she was ready to go all in to serve the less fortunate children of the world. Tatiana was the driving force behind the family moving to Peru, and she loved the children of Peru.

In the summer of 2018, Tatiana Blackburn died tragically in a car accident. To honour her memory, the Blackburns started a fund called Tat’s Kids Peru. This fund was designated for the children at Tat’s Place to support the ongoing operation of the home.
