Our Dessert Social & Fundraiser for 2019 Was a Success, Thanks to you!

On November 22nd & 23rd, we had two separate Dessert Social & Fundraiser events happen in the Guelph area and in the London area. These events involved a time of fellowship, worship and an intimate look into some of our key projects in Guatemala, Peru & Kenya. Our special guests included our missionaries Juan Pablo & Carolina from Guatemala; Rodolfo & Saraid from Iquitos Peru; Pastor Ishmael & Molline from Kenya; as well as Mathew Collins who shared about his story and the ministry in Puerto Maldonado Peru that is in dedication to Tatiana Blackburn who tragically passed in 2018. We also enjoyed a time of worship through music by Mathew and Michael Degazio.

At the Guelph event, there was a Silent Auction Table where all items were sold! Thank you to all of our generous Silent Auction Donors who are listed below. All proceeds raised through the silent auction will support these projects in Guatemala, Peru & Kenya. We hope that the atmosphere and presentations during both nights encouraged individuals to get involved and make an impact in our world!

Terry’s journey with Shelter of Hope

When Director Ishmael first met little Terry during a community home visit, her future looked uncertain. Born to a single mother, Terry was just two years old when her mum—barely 25 herself—left for Saudi Arabia to work as a domestic helper. Left in the care of her aging grandmother, a widow struggling to make ends meet, Terry’s early years were marked by hardship…

Goats and Pigs Bringing Hope

In the quiet mountain town of Nebaj, Guatemala, something extraordinary is happening.

Nestled beside the growing medical ministry of Servicios Médicos Vida y Esperanza, the Hebron Vida y Esperanza School is doing far more than teaching ABCs and 123s. It’s nurturing hope, restoring dignity, and strengthening the very foundation of the hospital it stands beside.

Tatiana's Story

From a very young age, Tatiana had a heart for serving children. After a short trip to help at an orphanage in Haiti in 2014, she was ready to go all in to serve the less fortunate children of the world. Tatiana was the driving force behind the family moving to Peru, and she loved the children of Peru.

In the summer of 2018, Tatiana Blackburn died tragically in a car accident. To honour her memory, the Blackburns started a fund called Tat’s Kids Peru. This fund was designated for the children at Tat’s Place to support the ongoing operation of the home.
